We had an extended family member move suddenly to Arizona. She left behind some items at our house and I’d like to offer them to neighbors before taking them down to the Goodwill.

I just watched the first episode of Midsomer Murders where Sergent Ben Jones joins up with Detective Inspector Barnaby – it turns out Jones was a regular policeman who, after helping Barnaby solve a triple-murder at a spooky old house, transfers into the Causton CID. I still don’t like him as well as Sgt. Troy, but it made me like him substantially more than Sgt. Dan. No questions.
It is also very very cold here.
You were such beautiful fish! It was so much fun to take care of you and I loved watching you swim around, on my dresser on Division Street when the light would cast your shadows on the wall and you would appear and disappear in your bowls, on Ann Street in the kitchen keeping me company and in Pittsburgh, near the plants in the living room, swimming around and around among the succulents. You made being at home so much more fun and cheerful - it feels emptier without you and I will really miss you.

It was a good walk, I can tell you - it had such fluidity and grace. Everything I know about walking comes from watching Ziegfeld’s girls. I think I learned more from the Ziegfeld Follies…than from almost anything else I’ve seen - that and the coronation of George V.
